The One year Diploma in Baking and Pastry Arts
Our signature Baking and Pastry Arts Program. Designed for The Academy by World renowned Chefs, this program present a rigorous curriculum for those seeking a Professional Career in the field of Baking and Pastry Arts
This is a six month, two semester intensive Culinary Program, which culminates with a one month Internship in Industry. Students may select to complete this Internship at renowned Hotels and Restaurants in far flung parts of the Globe through our in-house Paid Internship Program.
At The Academy, the kitchen is your classroom. Your training is hands-on. Teaching is conducted in our State of the Art facility by Professionally trained Chef/Tutors.
We teach you solid Baking techniques, and give you a working knowledge of Baking ingredients and how they function.
Our Chefs will lead demonstrations showing important techniques in creating Classic desserts and Patisseries as well as contemporary modern desserts, as well as Cake decorating Techniques and Chocolate Making.
It provides in depth exposure to Pastry and Baking theory, terminology, Food handling standards, kitchen operations, production organization and timing skills.
Our training is Classic, relevant and contemporary. Students are prepared for real life experiences. We ensure proper practice , using the best ingredients, while teaching the best use of what is available to you at home.
Classes are held Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9am to 3pm.
Your tuition includes Uniforms. Text Books and Learning Materials. Personal Tool Kit and all Ingredients for the duration of the Program.
